How we got engaged
Of course, we think our engagement story is hilarious and was an amazing day for both of us. There is a long version of the story that reviews 48 hours and includes a delicious brunch, awful experience in Soho, and a long walk through Brooklyn. The short version and actual engagement took place late in the evening on April 18th. I came home from work to find Phil standing in our kitchen handsomely dressed in his suit. Our kitchen was decorated with candles, lilies, and many memories of our relationship. From the first emails we sent each other, to the representations of love and losses and our relationship, Phil outlined many of the milestones that have marked our time together and the things that have helped us become a family. Even Jelly and Bruce (our cats) were included! Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes and the celebration commenced!
